Welcome to St. John the Evangelist, Taynton.
This church dates from about 1450, but many of the architectural features are in the earlier Decorated style. The clerestory and south aisle windows are of the Perpendicular period as is also the unusually high tower. The church contains a fascinating examples of the work of 15th century masons

From Burford carry on down the high street over the bridge. First exit at the mini roundabout then take the A424 towards Stow. First left to Taynton. You will reach the village after a mile and for the church take the first left in the village.
